- Cool. I lived in Augsburg from 1981-1984 (ages 11-13) and I remember the Adventskalendar! It was the coolest thing... but being a typical American I wanted to finish the whole thing in one day. Anticipation of opening each day's little cubby hole in the calendar become an "event"! The only thing better than that? Gummi's! ;o)
Steve Hartzog 03 12 04 - 03:21 - We have a Lego advent calendar this year. My kids love it. Each day they get a tiny lego set. They can put it together a couple of different ways. You have a great podcast! --RSBohn
RSBohn 03 12 04 - 19:23 - Took both of your comments into the new podcast ;o)
Nicole Simon 04 12 04 - 00:24 - Thanks for the mention... and I have to say, I have discontinued Daves' podcast as well; and as for your English: It's superb. Don't be nervous... if you have to fall back on a German word such as elf (eleven / 11) - most of your listeners will understand. If you're still concerned, repeat it in English. Just relax! ;)
PS. Gummi bears were (and still are) my favorite candy from Germany. I mentioned them only because in my Adventskalendar their was chocolate (candy)... and that made me think of other German Candy. Another favorite of mine is the KinderEgg. :)
Keep up the Podcast!
Steve Hartzog 07 12 04 - 12:32 - Steve, there is a Haribo-Adventskalender out there - perhaps next year for you! :o))
